Lillian Sadler of Gilbert Plains and Isabel Sadler of Preeceville spent the weekend at their home here, and said good-bye to brother, Sam, who is, on embarkation leave. Edna Matheson and Dugal got a sudden call home on Friday last as their father was very ill. Joan Schneider who is on the tele phone staff at Dauphin was home for a few days this week. Mrs. Clarke and Mrs. Clifford came home from Winnipeg on Friday’s train. Mrs. Clifford is feeling much better. The sports night didn’t have as large a crowd as usual on account of the recent snow storm, but a good time was enjoyed by those present. Three Rinks are taking part in the Swan River Bonspiel. One of the local rinks played its first game on Mini tonas ice.
