Until Dr. Collins is Certain of the Cause of Young Clougherty's Death, Michael Clougherty, nine years of age, during a quarrel with a playmate, Daniel Roach, 14 years of age, on Charter street, received a severe kick in the groin. Clough erty, who lives at 9 Charter street, was a few days later taken with a high fever and last night died. Dr. Collins of the North End had attended the little fel low during his sickness and refused to write a certificate for the burial. The doctor says that Clougherty probably died from the fever, but he not sure thut what the kick may have had some thing to do with the boy’s death, and until a result of that he refuses to issue a cer cate, Medical Examiner Harris has been noti fied and this afternoon he will hold an autopsy on the body.
