A Bucks County Grand Jury has indicted Croydon trash col lector Nicholas Saranzak, 47, of 2901 Buchanan Ave, on charges of assault with intent to kill and pointing and discharging a fire arm. The charges stem from a com plaint by his daughter-in-law, Joanne Saranzak of 2278 Taylor Ave., Cornwells Heights, who said that her father-in-law came out of his house with a rifle in his hand when she knocked on the door shortly after mid- night Sept. 21 last year. She said when she arrived at the Croydon house she heard a noise which turned out to be as shot from a rifle Saranzak was holding. Fled Atross Lawn She said she fled across the lawn to neighbor’s home, Bristol Township police were summon ed and arrested Saranzak. A week earlier Saranzak Was indicted by a grand jury for involuntary manslaugh ter charges stemming from an unusual fatal accident in Corn wells Heights last April. In that accident George H. Kurtz Jr., 49, of 5638 Newport ville Road, was killed instant ly when he was struck in the head by a large metal stop sign which hurtled through the air the regular monthly business when Saranzak’s car struck the meeting of the Newtown Junior Chamber of Commerce original ly scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 12 will be held Thursday, Jan. 13 at 8 p.m. at the Ne shaminy Valley South Center Inc., N. State St., Newtown, President Richard Ernest will preside. Sign at the corner of Newport ville Road and Power Ave. while Kurtz was burning trash in the side yard of his home.
