The property was recovered this morning by officers of station 10, pours per In the absence of Judge Churchill the roceedings in the local court this morni ng were presided over by Judge Dean. Herbert Clougherty, 8, Ellen Clough erty, 3, and Mildred Clougherty, 2, were brought to the attention of the court this morning as being neglected chil dren. After hearing the circumstances in the case Judge Dean decided to send the first two named to the Catholic home on Harrison av, while Mildred, the youngest of the trio, was consigned to the care of the St Mary's infant asy lum in this district. Fred Knight, a mi nor, was in court charged with the vio lation of an ordinance, throwing stones in the street. He was discharged. Capt Hunt has discovered that Trester Melendy, the man who was arraigned in the Dorchester court,a few days ago for the alleged passing of worthless checks, is wanted by the police of Providence, Worcester and several other cities. Mr Benjamin FF. Williams, a well known and highly respected resident of this district, died Sunday at his late residence, 64 Auckland st. The deceased was 78 years of age. The funeral will take place from the house tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock.
