Destroyed by Fire Sunday Evening as Result of Spark From Pas senger Engine. A spark from a passenger train on the Erie railroad on Sunday evening set fire to Samuel Benton's elevator at Pottersburg, Union county, and the structure was completely destroyed, together with contents, including 400 bushels of oats, a car load of cement, etc. A car load of coal, the property of Edwards Brothers, who conduct a store at Pottersburg, was also consumed. The elevator, while an old structure, had a good deal of patronage, espec ially at this time of the year. The loss on the building is partially covered by insurance, but there was nothing on the contents. The scales, which were owned by a company, were also destroyed.
