Krienke “Memorial” Golf Tournament was held September 6-7 at the Millridge Golf Course in Big River. This event, hosted by Maisie, Leslie and Randy Krienke in memory of Eadie, brings together friends and rela tves to enjoy a weekend of fun golfing plus raises funds for the New Community Centre in Big River. Friday afternoon 36 teams played their first nine with the remaining 31 funs playing Saturday ng. Following the letion of the first ‘Wa bison burger dhn ser, organized by Jayson ‘Water and Vivian Gould, was served. George and Arlene Ritchie donated the id Graham Bush harbe ued the burgers. Generous families in Big River donated salad, beans and desserts. Vivian Gould and Donna Sundby elped serve the dinner. ‘After the completior s first nine anl were Mighted into 10 flights. Golfers also traveled from, many points in Saskatchewan including, Shellbrook, Canwood, Saskatoon, Quill Lake, Kelvington, Prince Albert, Leroy and Langham. Also travelling to enjoy the tournament for the second year were our fan club . Eddie's dad and mom, Les Ingram all of Quill Lake Clint Panter convened the bar, Leah Scriven and Deedie Lomsnes saw to that over $500 worth of ‘annual golf bag. Cy Gondal of Shelbrook won the bag. ‘At the day's end golfers Troy Folden and Claude Dupuis came up the win ds with a 62 followed closely by Randy and like Krienke with a 63, the annual plaque was atresented to Troy at Chaude Special prees were word to Early Bird Winners- Wan) Edson Elbert Pederson. ‘Oldest Golfer - Joe ilbert, a youngest Golfer raiden Krienke, ‘Travelling Farthest wan Edson, Closest to Pin on 7 - Jeff Kyluik, Rhoda Marshall/Lesa ‘Sherman, Nathan Marsan, ‘Longest drive on 1 nan Scriven, Barbara ‘memorial golf bag, made a special presentation . Leslie Krienke who was celebrating his 27th hirh day. Seven teams were formed by dad (mom) and their lad with a prize awarded (C each: Phil/Todd Devonshire, Shirley/Brandon Beaulac, Rhoda/Cole Marshal, Les/Braiden —Krienke, Kelly/Tyrell Sehneider, Bruno/Chad Williams. It was great to have so many young golfers out for this event by random draw, golfers were all given an opportunity to choose a prize All who attended, both golfers and fans, had fun and $4,845.89 was the net profit, which will be pre sented to the New Community Centre ile oragH n man Edon.
