Even though you had no rehearsal, it was the best since we left New York. May your success land health never grow' less. Yoursi — --musically, LOUIS A. LESURE,“Musical Director.”In speaking of the note, Hoppe said: “This note means somethingto me because one of the newspapers took occasion to criticise our rendition of this very music. Mr. Lesure knew nothing of that criticism, and his statement shows how little some people know about playing music which you have never rehearsed.”
