Lafayette Buckles preached an excellent sermon at the forenoon meetiug, and the trustees announced that every cent of the indebtedness incurred by the building of the new church had been cancelled, and the notes were burned in the presence of the large congregation. Ia the afternoon a social meeting was held, and at night Presiding Elder Lafayette Buckles delivered a powerful discourse. There were present of the ministerial brethren Revs. Jesse Hill, C. B. Heath, L- H. Hurt, ex-pastors of the charge, and Rev. J. P. Shagley, pastor in charge. It was a big day for Methodism at the ’Burgh. _
