OLD ORCHARDAt the regular meeting of Atlantic lodge, I. C). O. F., Thursday evening,officers for the coming year were elected as follows: Noble grand, Harold S. Wharff; viee grand, Ernest Powers; secretary, Ross R. Mi 1 liken; j (treasurer, Curt C. Bod well; trustees, Louis Mansey, George L. Thomas,!Nelson D. McKenney. The committees appointed last week to arrangefor a ball reported that all arrange-} ments have been made to hold a ball at the Palace ballroom Friday evening, Oct. 11. Music will be by the Philharmonic orchestra. Advertising posters are already out and tickets on sale.The Business and Professional Womans club resumed its meetings after the summer vacation Thursday evening at the home of Miss Martha 1 Hoffman, Old Orchard street. Much I (business of interest to the club was transacted. The next meeting will be held Oct. 10 at the club room.Mrs. Florence Sutherland of Long-wood avenue was in Lewiston Thu^s-turnet! to New York after spending!the summer at Chases Mills and Old Orchard. 'At the Friday morning assembly 1 at the high school the junior class was in charge with Irene U’ger leader. The playlet “Father Goes on a Diet” was presented by the following: Father, William McGrath;mother, Pauline Miles; children, Nellie Fitzgibbon, Lorimer Lombard;, Mnndv, Lucy Angelosante; Mr. j Hughes, Gordon McAllister; Mrs, i i Benson.
