HICKMAN/THE Indiana Ballroom, closing during the summer months, reopensSaturday, with Slim La Mar’s Southerners, a prominent Victor recording orchestra, as the chief attraction, Tom Devine, manager, announced today. t I.?The Indiana roof has planned a gala opening with balloon showers, confetti, noise makers and the usual accompanying accessories which go to make for an attractive opening. Many surprises and novelties are in store for the dancers, it has been announced.The Southerners will present the same peppy music which has characterized their record playing, it is announced.S Sunny Clapp, one of the nation’sforemost popular song writers, composer of “Girl of My Dreams/' and countless others, is one of the outstanding features of the Southern-§PF ■ * Slim Lamar, violinist, adds lustre to the orchestra, as its director.
