An excellent program of vocal and Inrtrumental music, vaudeville and dancing entertained the audience until n late hour, and It was generally agreed thnt It hart be**n a long time since the society had provided aucb all-around enjoyment for those Interested In Its success.Julius Liorenz, the veteran and versatile conductor of the Arlon’s musical forces, wielded the baton with his usual skill and the result was that the singing proved to be the paramount feature of the program. They sang three choruses, specially rehears*^ for the occasion, nod were greetedwith long applause. Mrs. Emllle Pnls-Ahl. soprano aololst; Emil Zeli. tenor, and John Weissenbach, baritone, the latter members of the society, were also conspicuous for their work. The program wns rounded out with Richard Jneckel’a declamation of Schiller's The Bell; Harry Thnmpson In a comedy role, and Edward Ransom In a serleH of feats of inagic.Frederick R. Knopf wits tho chairman of the committee of arrangements, and was assisted by Henry Ahl, August A. fllppel. Theodore F. Hchraffl. Henry Loefller, Anton Mueller and President Hermau Dlttlcr.
