On Tuesday it was better, but the two days combined, we are told, were not equal to the attendance at the one day meet in the summer. Fear of hippodrotning and loafing races kept many away, and while Tuesday's races were a vast improvement over all others run in this city, there was yet room for vast improvement, and if the improvement don’t come tho riders will race Jwithnut auditors. Referee Sherman, Lew Ron-edict and a number of our level headed bicycling enthusiasts are working hard to eliminate all “monkey work” andgel bicycle racing down to a businessbasis, and it such determined hustlers and lovers of genuine sport don't succeed the case is hopeless. Rut they will succeed, and the sooner the riders “comedown” the better it will be for them. The races of Monday were not, as a whole, satisfactory, because the time was not at all what the various riders were capable of making, so we won’t waste space in giving the names of winners and the time made.
