Church in America, convened Friday morning, September 1st, delegates were in full attendance. The whole meeting passed off very quietly and peaceably. On the Sabbath there were from two to three thousand people present. Bishop R. H. Vanderhorat preached in the morning and evening. There was aleo a large turnout of the white citizens at both services. Peace and harmony reigned throughout the day.We feel under many obligations to the white citizens for their liberal contributions. Bishop Yanderhorst tenders bis thanks to the kind gentlemen—Messrs. H. P. Everett Co., JamesMathews, and Mr. Brown, for their very acceptable present, and to till the citizens of Fort Valley for their kind and liberal hospitality.J. H. Axdeesox, P. E.R. H.
