v Crab Orchard —.y .y. .y. y y. y y y y y y yMrs. Maxine Crowell is spending several days visiting friends and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elra Crowell.Mr. and Mrs. Harold Jones entertained the young people Saturday night in honor of Carl Edward and Virginia Lee’s birthdays. There were about fifty present and the evening was enjoyed playing games. There was plenty of good music and refreshments were served.Mrs. Harold Crowell and Mrs. Harlan Crowell spent Saturday night with Mrs. Kenneth Lingleand son, Gary Kay.Mrs. Harold Crowell and Doris Lipe spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hollis Lipe.Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Lingle, Mrs. Kenneth Lingle and son, Miss Carolyn Teridall, Mrs. Normal Dempsey and Mrs. Lewis Etherton attended the Homecoming at Water Valley Church, east of Cobden, Sunday. Everyone enjoyed a bountiful dinner and the good program in the afternoon.Miss Betty Hopkins spent Saturday night with Miss Wilmadean Ellis.The first Quarterly Conference was held Saturday, Sept. 16th, at Fairview church.
