The Theatre.In about a week, Mr. W. M. Fleming will open our temple of Thespis for the reign of the legitimate. We have already given a programme of Mr. Fleming’s movements, and now we have the pleasure of publishing the names of his company. Ann ng these are some old favorites, and if the com any will only “dll the bill” of public expec. tatilt; o in regard to their abilities, and the mauager, in a cordance with our previous recommendation, disp *nse with vulgarism and indecencies upon the stage, we may anticipate a brilliant theatrical season. The stage needs reform in this section, at least, and we hope that it will be inaugurated the coming season. We desire to see theexcrecen-ces lopped oft', and the performances be witnessed by respectable audiences, without the fear of having their eyes and ears insulted by vulgar language or vulgar gestures; hence, with the kindliest feelings for the new manager and the best wishes for his success, we express ourselves thus freely.The company is composed of the following per.f ormers : -'w-aw 4 X i/itrwit*1 • ** 'Miss Lizzie Emmons, from the Boston Theatre ; Mrs. H. P. Grattan, Miss Annie Josephs, Mrs. J. K. Scott, Miss Munson, Miss Sherman, Miss Josephine Dobxton, James S. Wright, from the Southern and Western Theatres ; an excellent comedian and juvenile actor, J. B. Fuller; an old establish, ed favorite with us, W. A. Dokelson, from the Boston Theatre; P. C. Cunningham, Henry Lewis, J. G. Boyd, Edwin Mortimer, Charles Lewbk, N. C. Forrester, Jas. Lewis, D.G. Maguire, Mt.Wal-laxd, and Mr. Fleming, aud others will be added as necessity may require.The Savannah Republican mentions the names of the loilowing stars engaged by Mr. Fleming for the Savannah theatre, some, or all of whom, we supj ose, will be placed before Augusta audiences :The stars already engaged embrace the names of Edwin Booth, Miss Adah Isaacs Menken, Miss Jane Coombs, the Misses Goxgenheim, J. W. Wallace, Jr., and wife, 1). W. Waller, and wife, Jambs Anderson, Miss Ellsworth, Miss Maggie Mitchell, and Miss Dora Shaw.Mr. Ernest Richter will lead the orchestra. In a letter to the press of this city, Mr. Fleming says :“ L-think I shall succeed in giving entire satisfaction, as my arrangements are really first rate. 1 hope to visit Augusta occasionally with my company and a 4i star !”The bill for the opening night, will doubtless be published some time during the ensuing week.
