David Braun, pastor of the church.The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of candlelight satin featuring a fitted bodice, sweetheart neckline, long tapering sleeves, a full skirt scalloped around the bottom, worn over hoops and ending in a long train. Her full length veil of Illusion was held with a seed pearl tiara. She carried a cascade of white gladioli, white button pompoms and ivy with a large purple and white orchid in the center.Miss Janice M, Wherry, sister of the bride, the maid of honor, wore a grccian gown of blue nylon, taffeta made with a V-neckline witha small collar, a fitted bodice with tiny buttons ‘down the front, cap sleeves and a full skirt. She wore gauntlets and a crownless heart-shaped bonnet to match her gown and carried a bouquet of peach colored gladioli, white pompoms and ivy tied with peach colored ribbon. Mrs. Robert C. Messmer, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and Miss Nancy Lewis, of Gradyville, formerly of Swarthmore, and Miss Elaine L. Wherry, another sister of the bride, were the bridesmaids. They wore similar gowns of American Beauty nylon taffeta and carried cascades of yellow gladioli, yellow fjompoms and ivy tied with yellow’ satin ribbon. Their gauntlets and heart-shaped bonnets matched their gowns.Robert Zensen,. of Rutledge, was best man for Mr. Bullard, and Charles Bullard, of Morton, brother of the bridegroom; Alfred Haig, of Rutledge; Robert 0.
