Weaver.This presidential search committee includes as voting members seven faculty, three students, three regents, three chancellors and committee chairman Joyce Erdman.“We have faculty members from the sciences, the social sciences and the humanities as well as advanced professional study,” board president Bertram McNamara of Milwaukee said. “We have both undergraduate and graduate students, and strong representation of women and minorities. We have representatives who live in, work inr or have strong ties to all regions of our state.”Regent members of the committee, in addition to Erdman, are: ArthurDeBardeleben, Park Falls; Frank J.Pelisek, Milwaukee, and John M. Lavine, Chippewa Falls.Faculty members are: Robert Baruch, theatre arts, UW-Stevens Point; Orrin I. Berge, agricultural engineering, UW-Extension; Ralph Curtis, chemistry, UW-Platteville; Ted Finman, law, UW-Madison; Reginald Horsman, history, UW-Milwaukee; Emogene Nelson, physical education, UW-River Falls; and Maurice B. Webb, physics, UW-Madison.Student members are: Mark Heimbach, UW-Green Bay ’sophomore in environmental administration; Barbara Walters, UW-Madison graduate student in journalism, and Elizabeth Wright, UW-Milwaukee graduate, UW-Madison student and United Council president.The other two chancellors chosen are: Werner Baum, UW-Milwaukee; and Edward Fort, UW-Center System.The selection committee to be named by McNamara at a later date will be limited to regents and consist of up to nine members. McNamara will head the group.
