Service Board No. 1. today announced the names of 25 men selected to fill an induction call.Sgt. and Mrs. John AllenKoons and daughters BarbaraJane and Joan of Camp McCoy, Wis., are spending today in St. Louis with Mrs. Koons’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hempen.O. W. Britton departed yesterday for Washington, D. C., to attend a special meeting called by the president of the Teamsters and Chauffeurs Union, Daniel J. Tobin. Vernon Car Mfg. Co. will remain closed, according to Ja ruling handed down at Springfield yesterday by the Illinois Supreme Court ‘ in affirming a judgment, of the circuit court here several months ago which denied a petition for writ of mandamus to compel the city and Pressed Steel Car Company, Inc., to remove obstructions and re-open the street.
