Miss Audrey Long is spending several days in Washington. Mrs. Tom Harnsberger spent the week-end in Roanoke with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jamison. Miss Irene Collins, of South Bos ton, and Miss Beth Cosby, of Lyn chburg, arrived yesterday to attend State Teachers College where they will both be seniors this year. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Wilson, of Greensboro, N. Y., were guests of Dr. and Mrs. J. L. Wright the past week. _ Lawrence W. Gerth, of Columbus, Ohio, has returned to his home af ter having visited his brother-in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. John B. Mahool for the past two weeks. Miss Virginia Laird Conrad is at tending Gunston Hall in Washing ton this winter. Miss Anne Dechert has returned to Tappahannock where she will at tend St. Margarets School this win ter. Mr. and Mrs. John Yancey spent Sunday in Washington where they visited their daughter, Miss Dorothy Yancey, who is attending Strayers Business College. Mrs. John B. Peale has returned from Luray where she has been vis iting her sister, Miss Willie Reed. Mrs. Fred G. Kane, of Luray, is a patient in Rockingham Memorial Hospital. M. A. Long, of Luray, spent Sun day in Harrisonburg with Mrs. Lee Long. Mrs. J. R. Spangler spent the past week in Washington as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Moore. Miss Margaret Etter has returned to her home in Roanoke after hav ing spent the past two weeks here as the guest of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Spangler. Miss Dorothy Slaven, of Harrison burg, and Miss Lois Wandless, af ter, have returned after having spent the past week in Mon terey and Staunton as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Slaven and Mrs. Bessie Hoy. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Webb of Roa noke spent the week-end here as the guests of Mrs. Webb's brother-in law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. 8. M. Cox. Charles K. Brown, of Staunton, visited Harrison last night after a drive over the line Drive. Miss Lorraine Liskey, of New Market, is the guest of her cou sin, Miss Frances Liskey, near Harrisonburg. . Abert Parrish, of Raleigh, N. C., has returned to his home after hav ing visited his sister, Mrs. D. L Mundy here. James Lee has enrolled in Au gusta Military Academy. Charles Shifflette has returned from a visit to Washington. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Maste and Miss Katy Staling, of Hagerstown, Md., spent the week-end here with relatives. Misses Mary Jane Dove, Hilda Hildebrand and Janet Cline, of Staunton, spent the week-end here as the guest of Misses Eleanor Brock, Maxine Shank and Lillian Wise. Miss Geneva Shrum, of Clarks burg, W. Va.; Miss Phyllis English, of Greenville and Miss Ava May, of Mathias, W. Va., have enrolled in Pauline’s Beauty School. Mr. a Mrs. J. A. Cline and family of Washington, spent the week end here with relatives, in cluding his father, C. B. Cline, at Mt. Clinton. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Riddel and daughter, Jane and Mr. and Mrs. William Waylend, spent the week end in Hagerstown, ad Miss Ethel Stephens has return ed to Harrisonburg after having spent the summer in Edinburg.
