PLEASEDAudience Attends Song Recital at Maennerchor Hall.Mrs. Mary Elisabeth Cheney gave a soDg recital last evening at Maenner odor Hall under the auspices of New A1 bany Lodge of Elks and pleased a large andienoe. Mrs. Cheney, who oondnots a school for vocal mtuio in New York city and is soloist in one of the churches in New York, has been spending the eammer with relatives in this oity, and was prevailed npon by the Elks to give the concert before her departure for the metropolis.The program last evening inoluded selections from a number of the operas and oratorios and Mrs. Cheney's splendid soprano voice was never heard to better advantage, the appreciation of the an-dienoe being evidenoed by the applause that followed eaoh number. Miss Elsie Heddeu assisted at the piano Mrs Oheney will return to New York oity in a few days
