Yates CityPTA MarksOpening MeetYATES CITY—The Yate.s CityPTA met Sept. 16 at the schoolgym. William Fowler, president, introduced the new officers for this year. They are Don Trowbridge, vice president, and Virginia Capitani, secretary. Mrs. Frances Johnson is the treasurer, but was unable to attend.Sally Blodgett, in behalf of the Junior Woman's Club, presented the school a projector, strip film, screen and jumping ropes. John Lundquist, in behalf of the school, thanked the club for the gifts. Margaret Ramp, ways and means chairman, reported that a carnival will be held Nov. 16. Room count prize was awarded the freshman class.Alten Grandt reported that help is needed in a survey for a junior college for this area.The Senior Woman’s Club presented a band skit which included Jessie Foster, Bernice Bow'ers, Eva Chamberlain, Zella Bell, Heien Snyder, Frances Bird, Irene Jones, Bea Lundquist andled by Dorothy Cooper.The Presbyterian Church and the Methodist Church of Yates City, were represented welcoming the newcomers to the community. Lundquist introducd the teachers and school personnel present.
