Cheer Leaders Well Set UpCheering the team on to victory this year will be thirteen varsity cheerleaders led by the head cheerleader, Mary Stewart Booth.The newcomers to .the squad are Dorcas .Lewis, Betty Taylor, and Ginny Gib Lewis.Cheering for their second year are Mary Stewart Bqoth, Katherine Scott Jones, Barbara Ford, TroHen Gainy, Caro? Lewis, Sat-lie Wright, Brenda Saunders, Page Jnes, and Roberta Rolli-son.Katherine Scott Jones is assistant head cheerleader and takes over in the absence of the head cheerleader.Sallie Wright is publicity chairman and is responsible for getting pictures and articles about the cheerleaders in the paper.The cheerleaders have added to their regular bag of tricks this year. Hula hoops are going to be used at the games.A cheerleading code has been written • and put into a special booklet designed for the cheerleaders.)Contained in this booklet, prepared by a committee .under the leadership of Roberta Rollison, are a directory of the cheerleaders and their sponsor, Miss Mary Bailey, a list of the parents driving to the out-of-town games, a schedule of the games, cheers, songs, and chants.The cheerleaders have been practicing and working hard since the latter part of the summer.With _ enthusiasm and spirit these girls buoy the teams of the school.
