Reader's viewpointKent State repeater station delayedTo the Editor:Last October, WKSU of Kent State University held groundbreaking ceremonies for a New PhiladelphiaDover repeater radio station to broadcast the station signal to Tuscarawas County. We’ve received several inquiries regarding the status of that project, which 1 would like to address. We originally hoped to have the repeater station, WKKJ, on the air by summer, but delays resulted due to a site change and the need to refile our application with the Federal CommunicationsCommission. We now expect to have the station broadcasting WKSU’s in depth news and classical music at 915 FM with3,000 watts by the end of the year.We will keep you informed of the ex act sign-on date as that approaches We look forward to serving Tuscarawas County and the surrounding area with quality public radio very soon.John E.
