U S. Air Force Lieutenant Colemel Mark AzzoUna, the Cavalcade appeared at the Central Canaela Exhibit mn. Ottawa, and made a return appearance at the New York World's Fair.At the Canadian exhibition, the NORAD Cavalcade was the fe*atured musical attraction and during their nine4ay appearance they performed 18 full scheekiled concerts.All attendance records were broken and it was estimated bv■exhibit officials that the Cavalcade appeared before more than 12S.000 people A number of music personalities appeared as guest conductors at the exhibit which this vear featured such showWbusiness figures as Andy Williams. Red Skelton and the Osmond Brothers. Guest e*ondu«-tors included Squadron Leader Clifford O Hunt. Music Supervisor for the Roval Canadian A:r Force; Lieutenant Ron M.l-ne commander of the Canadian Guards Band. Flying Officer Ken Moore, commander of the RCAF Central Band; and Dick Havman, renowned North American conductor.The group made a Columbia Broadcasting System appearance while in Ottawa and then proceeeied to the New York World s Fair for their second appearance there this year They combined with Paul La Valle's famed Cities Service World's Fair Band for a concert as Azzolina conducted the combined group.During their World s Fair stay. Richard Maltby and Paul LaValle both served as guest conductors for the NORAD Cavalcade of Music.
