G. M. Oakman who has been in Macomb for some time assisting in the organization of a Co-operative store, spent Sunday in the city. He informs The Quiol, that- they havepurchased a stock in Macomb andwill open their first Co-operative store this week. They will go into other towns and place stores as rapidly as possible and will probably come to LaHarpe in a few weeks. They will carry a stock of groceries and meats, fresh and salt, in fact everything to eat. The organization is meeting with success in Macomb and is not a new th ing as it has been in operation in England since 1844.
