Mayfield, racked up a perfect game Sunday at Hi-Spot Bowling Lanes, and his aunt, Mrs. Roseanee La Torre, of the Mayfield address, called to tell Community Publications about it.“I think it’s quite an achievement for a 19-year old. and deserves a mention,” said Mrs. LaTorre. Alvinito, a maintenance man at Burbank elementary school, is 180Old Rollsameaverage bowler with a Monday night league at MontClare Bowling alley.But Ernest was not playingin the league when he scored the perfect game. He was bowling with a friend whenother players noted he had eight strikes going for him. As other bowlers stopped their game to watch, tension mounted and Ernest was sure he wasn’t going to make the perfect score.He did, and scored the coveted “300” to the delight of fellow players and thecrowded gallerv.
