Gibson, which oc- *curred yesterday morning at 7:30 I -y o’clock at her residence, 118 Bolton | ^ street, west, after a long illness from Bright’s disease.While her death was not unexpected, she having been steadily declining for some weeks, her passing away is none the less a great sorrow to all who knew her. Some weeks ago, in the hope that a change might benefit her, Mrs. Gibson was taken to Asheville, but the contrary was the effect, and she returned two weeks ago worse than when she w*ent away. From that time she had steadily grown worse.Mrs. Gibson is survived by her husband, Capt. W. T. Gibson, a son, Mr. Walter F. Gibson, her sister, Mrs. George G. Wrilson; Capt. W. H. Fleetwood, her brother, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Laura H. Fleetwood. In her earlier life she was a Miss Fleetwood, daughter of the late Capt. Green Fleetwood and was always a woman of noble qualities of heart and mind that endeared her to a large circle of friends. Of a large charity, she gave generously, and many have felt the beneficence of her liberality. Mrs. Gibson was beloved by all who knewT her and her taking away leaves a void In many a friend’s heart that long years cannot fill.The funeral will be held this afternoon at 4 o’clock at the residence. The interment will be in Laurel Grove cemetery.
