It ' happened this way:Tfie plgsfclnTboomed into an electric wire that was not grounded, broke It in two and caused a short in a hot water heater in the basement of the Oliver B, Chambers resilience at 30$ Wadsworth St.The resulting fire burned the wiring and motor of the heater and blackened the basement from smoke.Local firemen answered the call at 7:45, put out the blaze and returned to the station house at 8:12.
