—The' Freeport correspondent of the Republican stated last week that Charley Flynn was not at the fair. Charley authorizes me to say tha* it is an error, as he was there.—The workmen are getting along splendidly with the work on Alex. Mellis? mill, which, by the way, will be one of the best mills in the country. Charley Flynn is the miller.—Dr. C. A. Robertson has purchased a traction engine which he exhibited on our streets last Saturday, lie was so proud of his new machine that he had to try it Sunday pulling stumps, or at least that is what the boys say.—Alex Mellis, I. F. Hankins, Mark Davis and Charley Flynn, “the big four,” attended the show Saturday night at Morristown. The play was “Fanchou, the Cricket,” which was very well rendered. Charley Flynn says that Mark got 6tuck on Cricket.—Arthur Kinsley found some kind of a tine instrument Monday on the street in town which was examined by several parties but no one knew what it was. The owner can get it by calling on Mr. Kinsley at the store, as he says he has 110 use for it.Freeport.
