The ^I occasion being the conclusion of one 'i months visit of his two sisters living!I in Kansas. They with himself being lithe only children of Jackson I* I Cummins who died some sixty years 1 I ago in Dubois couoty Ind. Those. I three were his only children all now 1II living aged respectively 67 65 and ; 1164 years. Polly Tucker the oldest and I• lOyntha A. McDonald the youngest.»I These are the decendants of A JCummins a pioneer of Crawford countv I who settled here with his family who I I helped to subdue the wilderness !I making way for our present pros* I iperity W. W. Cummins a son once I ' I owned the townsitfs and had it I I surveyed and sold the original I ( I townsites of English which has since I ( I been added to. This family has been I |f I identified with the history of I I Crawford county, one son of the I ‘I original family, still lives, ' Uncle I I Charlie, of Birdseye who is nearing]* I his Eighty-eight year. Much morel '81 could be said of this family, but this I I is enough as a large relationftbin still Ipi exist wlio are making apart of the I |f I historv of the county and state. Ip I About forty adults besides children I mI were at Uncle Bentons during the!HI evening. It seemed to be a spontau-1 e I eons gathering as no invitations had I I been given out.
