There are still a few seats available for those who buy $25, $50 and $100 bonds, but these are expected to be sold long before the show starts at 8:15 towght.Additional seating room has been made possible at the high school by providing chairs in the orchestra pit and? it Is expected that every one who holds a ticket will be accommodated this evening.Persons who have purchased bonds and hayfe received their complimentary tickets are being urged, however, to- go early as individual seats are nojj reserved and locations in the various sections of the auditorium Will be allotted on the flrst-come-flrst-served plan.~ Over Mark.When negotiations for the famous band leader and his orchestra andentertainers were completed by the Carpenter brothers one of the stipulations was that at least $150,000 worth of bonds must be sold before Griff ^filliams would come to East Moline.East Moline and Silvis residents fclone have purchased approximately this amount already,State bank and theater owners saidtoday.The Griff Williams show, which will be augmented by performers from local night clubs, is being presented as a part of the quad-city-wide theater, bond-selling campaign. The show tonight at East Moline high school was arranged for by Joseph Carpentier, who, with his brothers, Charles and Emil, owns and operates the Strand and Majestic theaters. Because the local picture houses could not begin to accommodate the hundreds of local Oriff Williams fans the cooperation of the school board was obtained and it was decided to hold the dance and show in the school auditorium and gymnasium. The auditorium doors will open at 7:15 and the show will start an hour later. Dancing will be from 0:30 to 12:30. Admission will be by ticket only and these can be obtained only by purchasing a bond of any denomination from $25 to $1000. The more costly the bond the more choice the seat.Contribute Services.The services of the Griff Williams organization as well as the other performers on the show are being contributed as their share in the nation-wide effort to sell bonds.Williams will act as master of ceremonies for the stage program which will include vocal solos by Don Harris, who made a hit with audiences at the “Stars over America show last week. Harris is a protege of Sophie Tucker, famous night club and stage star. Also on the program will be Linda Keerie,singing star of NBC's Club Matinee; Nancy Hunt, tap and acrobatic dancer and the Sparklers, tap and specialty dance team.Among the entertainers featured with Griff Williams' orchestra are Walter King, Irish tenor; Bob Kirk, baritone soloist; and Williams Warblers.
