Aaron Roach, a pearl hunter on the Wabash is in town. He has two outfits and is gathering shells from the shore and sheckles from the land. He says the Jews do the speculating while the Gentiles do the digging. His storieson the pearl business are interesting. He says a man bought a duck for dinner and while dressing it found a 8430 pearl in the craw. Another found a 875 pearl in a hog pen where the cooked mussels hact been fed to the hogs.
