ROOM NOTES.The Association Wishes to Get Clear of Debt.SUNDAY MEETINGS TO RESUME.ViIce Cream Social, Instrumental and Vocal Music, Thursday Evening Sept. 26.All are invited.The summer outing season being about over, and all showing their healthy color got at seashore Or mountain, we have time now to turn our thoughts to other matters, foremost of which is the reading room. Etfery citizen is conscious of the necessity of keeping this institution open.. From its first inception it has been carried on bv public subscription, the ladies of the W. C. T. LT.furnishing most of the literature,\Vhieh they still continue to do, but lately . subscriptions9 are not being paid so prompt as formerly. The natural result is a scarcit of fundswwhich result in debt. Although the rooms were taken in charge by the Y. M. C. A., that association having so few members.it is out of the question to expect them to meet all expenses, and tlt;hey have from the first expected the public subscription to come in as usualThe association being desirous of getting clear of debt, keep the reading room open, and. add to its attraction, the committee hereby announce that on Thursday evening, Sept. 26, they will serve ice cream in the reading room. There will be vocal and instrumental music to warm the ice cream as it is eateil The committee promise a delightful evening and sincerely hope that every one will be present.The Sunday afternoon meetings havivg been 'neglected on account of summer vacations, will be continued, and we hope with new enthusiasm.
