VETERANS ORGANIZEOu first Tuesday, aecordiug to a call published in The Argus, quite a number of the old Confederate veterans met at the Court House and organized a Confederate Veteran's As-©sociation. Mr. U C. Thaxton was chosen commander aud Mr. Jas. Joliy secretary. They also adopted a constitution aud opened books for the enrollment of their comrades aud write all the old soldiers in the countv to meet them cu the secondWednesday in November to further perfecct ths organization. This is amove iu the right direction, and we are proud to see the start made. '
