Nkymax, Secretary, tendered his | resignation, which was accepted, and D, Loewknoach, Esq., appointed Secretary pre tan.The minutes of the special meeting of Aug, •itii, and of the adjourned meeting of Aug. 5th and 6tli, were r^ad and adopted,Th- report of the Treasurer was th*n read, when a discussion viisu-d as to how the I financial condition of the Society should he improvtd. Thy argument woe dropped vritlj-out resulting in anything, and the report of the Treasurer was adopted.Mr. Dectscu. from the Committee appointed to examine the library, reported that they had not jtt finished their investigation; but he could say, that the report of Mr. FiNTScnGER was incorrect in many details.The same gentleman reported that as yet ho had been unable to negotiate with the musicians of the orchestra, haring been unable to meet with them.Mr. I)., from the committee appointed to assist Mr. Balatka in making out programmes for concerts to be given, reported that the said committee bad not done auy-tliing as yet.On motion, it was resolved that the committee of nine, appointed for the purpose of sohoiting new paying members, should also be ordered to solicit and collect voluntary contributions of members of the Society, to iiR-Tvaae the income, and report to the next geueral meeting.The meeting then proceeded to elect new officers, in place of those resigm d.
