Fortnightly Club's First MeetingAt the club's first meeting of the season, Monday, Mrs. John North assumed the presidency of the Fomightly Study club.Hostess for the meeting was Mrs. O. IX McOraw, who entertained 21 members and guests in her home at 214 South Ripley street.Guests were Miss Emma Shannon, Mrs. John Barlow and Mrs. Bill Dougan.At the conclusion of the business session. Mrs. H. S. Sturgis presented a biography of Italy in which she summarized the devel- j opment and contributions of Italian art and literature.Mrs. Ida Dougan, a long time member absent for more than a year because of illness, was present at the meeting.
