George Houck Chairman of Splendid Exercises In Todd Township; C. €. Brewster Among The Speakers of The DayR. S. CLARK JUDGES FRUIT AND PRODUCTS EXHIBITED(Bv W. A. CROTSLEY)The annual gathering of the people in Todd township and surrounding country was held at the Tabernacle in the grove near the Grange Hall Saturday, September 9th.' People from near and many from a distance began to assemble in the morning and by ten-thirty o’clock a good number were on the grounds*to help celebrate and to give thanks for the blessings and' the many good things (hcy'Tiaye enjoyed the past year. Mr. George Houck was chairman and had entire charge of theceremonies of the day.At half past ten o’clock we -re called i 11 to the Tabernacle and the exercises began by the choir-, underthe leadership of e Charles Evans.^ *rendered u fine selection. -Prayer was offered by Rev. Cox of the M. E. Church. The chairman tlion introduced C. C. Brewster, Esq., of Huntingdon, as the Republican candidate for Assembly. Mr. Brewster seemed in good condition to talk and' for sometime held his hearers very closely.
