Decorative de tails for the noon-day event conformed to a colorful Spanish theme.The hostess and her guests dis-discussed their plans for the approaching school season. Miss Conliffe, Miss Cecelia Phillips and Miss Anita Wasson will attend junior college; Miss Carroll Brinkerhoff already is taking part in rush week activities at U.S.C.-the Misses Sally Tiernan and Kathryn Mather will attend Scripps; Miss Verna Belle Ma-r°ney, Stanford' university. A special guest at the affair was Miss Mildred Thomas of Pasadena, visitor at Laguna who will be a senior at Whittier college this fall.Mrs. Theo Winbigler spent one weekend with the mother and daughter. Another weekend guest was Mrs. Edith Schaniel, with Sunday visitors including | Miss Nita Koontz and her sis-j ter, Mrs. Corrinne Townsend.
