HESTER FAMILY HELDANNUAL REUNION MONDAYWell Known Family Scattered Over Many States Enjoyed Reunion at Brookside Park, Indianapolis.From Wednesday’s Daily.The Hester family celebrated oneof the most pleasant reunions in its history Monday, at Brookside park, Indianapolis. Members from Indiana, Ilinois, Kansas and other states were present to renew family ties, tell of the good old times when members of the family were not scattered as they now are, and par-take of the good things to eat whicnwere amply provided.One hundred and fourteen were in attendance, among whom were Jasper Hester and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Edwards, and Mrs. Sarah Hester, of this county; Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Zike, of Rush county; the Rev. Frank Hester, of Kansas, and others.In the election of officers, the members exhibited their good judgment by selecting for the two principal offices two of Union township’s prominent residents, Jasper Hester being elected president, and his son,Cary Hester, secretary and treasur-• ♦er, for the ensuing year.The next reunion will be held at Brookside Park, Indianapolis, on Labor Day, 1909, and under the efficient officers will no doubt surpass the reunion of 1908.
