ing a free beer with every seat. UThe third block in the downtown section is being relieved of its street car tracks, preparatory to resurfacing with asphalt. The three and two hundred blocks of East Aurora street have been repaved and the driving public will benefit by the improvement— the old tracks being a nuisance, by being slippery in wet weather, and creating a hazard at all times on the not too wide main stem. Resurfacing of McLeod avenue, which only a year ago was rebuilt with tar macadam, but broke up after only a few months, has been completed', with the entire street from Curry to Silver street resurfaced. The new^surface makes the finest driving road from the motorist’s viewpoint, but being a new process, only time will tell whether it will stand up under the severe winters which we are “blessed” with. Between ten and fifteen years is the claim, but we'll be satisfied with half that. Only a few hours is needed to apply the mixture of gravel and oil ancfc tar mixture, and the road can be used immediately after rolling. flThe suspension bridge across the Black River at its mouth at Lake Superior will soon be ready, with CCC labor from Camp Norrie dqing the work. The anchors on each end. have been poured and the uprights are being rushed to completion. This new bridge will open the opposite shore of the lake to the public, where the better of the two sides of the river is located. Catches of lake
