Messrs. James Callahan and Em* est Haemerla are back from the Mesquakie “Powwow” at Tama, a celebration which made Labor Day-noteworthy. Indians came from ro.a, Nebraska, and Wisconsin, in full regalia. The principal speakers were President Harry H. Woodson, of the American Negro Bar association; and Harvey Ingham, of the Des Moines Register.
