GREENSBURG CLASS OF 1936Greensburg class celebrates reunionThe Greensburg High School Class of 1936 celebrated their 50th Class Reunion at the Greensburg at the Greensburg Country Club Aug. 9. Forty-five classmates and guests, including Elma Sullivan, a former teacher attended.The evening started with a ‘ ‘happy hour” with Lois Badgley playing the piano. The group joined in singing following the dinner.Marie Rethlake Robbins welcomed the class members and guests, and introduced Robert Howe, class president and master of ceremonies for the evening. Howe gave the invocation, written by his daughter for the occasion.Following the dinner, class members introduced their guests. A memorial service was held for deceased classmates by Kathryn Walters Smith. Letters from members that could not attend wereread by Luella Hutchinson Esch-mann.Helen Ingels Young, Susanne Fogg Harrison and Alice LaFollette Carsrud read poems and articles which were written and published in the 1936 class annual. Recognition was given to Agnes Hermesch Kramer and Helen Havens White for the most children. A special commendation was given to Kathryn Louden Weissenberger for preparing a booklet, giving information about class members.Table decorations were awarded to Mrs. Howard Homberger, Ben Amy, Mrs. Richard Oliger, Mrs. William Licking and Mrs. Robert Sturgis.
