Boyd, who emigrated to America from Ireland in 1730, -was held' in Chestnut Level Church House on Thursday, with an attendance of about 120.The business meeting was in charge of the president, H. Clarence Boyd, Greene; scripture, D. Clinton Boyd, Drumore R. D.; prayer, Ira McFhear-son, Quarryville R- D.; minutes of the organization were read by the secretary, Mrs. Thomas T. Graffi, Quarryville R. D.; a motion carried that the present officers, H. Clarence Boyd, Greene, president; Samuel B. Long, Drumore R. D., vice president; Mrs. Thomas T. Graff, Quarryville R.D. secretary, and Miss Laura I. Dong, Quarry ville R. D., treasurer, be retained to serve for the next reunion which will be held the fourth Thursday of August, 1933, and the present executive committee serve as the nominating committee for next year.Harvey Long, Quarryville U. D., a member of program committee announced the following program: Singing by clan, led by Miss Jean E. Me-Sparran, Hensel, with Miss Virginia Steinford. Narberth, pianist and William F. Cunningham, Middletown, aaxaphontet; welcome address by Stephen J. Boyd, Philadelphia; chart explanation of the Boyd lineage by a |h. Clarence Boyd, Greene; singing by Clan; Boyd Coneaiogy, by Dr. Nathaniel W. Boyd, 2nd, Philadelphia; recitation, “The Best Decorator In the City, Mrs. Samuel B. Long, Drumore r. D.; violin solo, Miss Mary S. Boyd, Steelton; reading of Samuel Boyd certificate from Men’s Quaker meeting in Ireland to Friends here in America in 1736, also marriage certificate by Miss Laura I. Long, Quarryville R. D.; saxophone solo, William F. Cunningham, accompanied by Mies Steinford; paper, “Romance of the Name”, prepared by H. Clarence Boyd and read by Mrs J. Andrew Burjuns, DrumoreR. D.; recitation. “The Highwaynnan.Miss A. Elizabeth Harner, Lancaster; singing by clan; remarks by James Ira Boyd. Creston, Iowa; singing by clan; closing prayer by Guy, F. Mc-Sparran, Quarryville. R_ D.The oldest person present was William. Allen Brown, Drumore R. D.. aged eighty-five; youngest person, Elizabeth Haines, fifteen months.
