CcmxissioBers Court.The honorable Board of County Commissioners met last Monday, all members being present except Judge Skeggs, who is out of the city.A number of bills were ordered paid.The contract with the DecaturWater Works Company was renewed for live years longer, beginning January 1,1900. The WaterCompany is to put in two water closets on the second floor of the court house and one additionalhydrant without additional cost tocounty.The road from the Somerville road crossing on the South A North Railroad to Harfcseile was ordered opened and Harvey Derrick appointed overseer. ,The road from G. H, Thomas’home to Wm. Woolf’s residence over the mountain was ordered opened, and J. J. Jennings was appointed overseer.It was ordered that the Decatur and Danville road from where it leaves the old Somerville and Moulton road at Philip Sandlin’s to where it intersects the new county ro'ad be discontinued.D. B. Morrow was appointed county surveyor for three years, his rate of compensation not to exceed per day and his chain-bearer to receive not more than I #1,50 per day.Walter M. Grubbs was employedas county stenographer to serve the circuit court at a saiary of $50 per year to be paid semi-annually. The court then adjourned Bine die.
