S.The Vandals, local musical group, were awarded first prize consisting of an engraved trophy, a check for $100 and a TV set, as the best performing Rock and Roll Band at the Battle of the Bands Contest which was held recently at the Sky-Vue Drive-In Theatre. The TV set was donated to Warwick High School.The elimination contest featured music by 17 competing groups and was sponsored by Radio Station WLAN and the Theatre.The Vandals, who formed their group last year, include: Tom Swan, sixteen, lead guitar; Mike' Weirich, fifteen,rhythm' guitar; -Jebb Moore,seventeen, bass guitar; Steve Zander, eighteen, organ; Bill Stauffer, vocalist; who all attend Warwick High School, and Phil Feeser, fifteen, drums,who attends Penn Manor.The group practices at the Swan residence and their rep-: ertoire is made up of current musical trends. They had the pleasure of performing at adeb party at the J. Hale Stein-rnan residence, Lancaster, recently. They also have played at -the Ephrata Pool, Lititz Recreation Center and the Neffsville Community Park.Tony Mari an i, Lancaster, is the Vandals’ booking agent. The group is accepting engagements for various functions.Warwick Twp.
