How many needles does a porcupine have7 Actually there is not as much as one might expectgiven the sexually permissive society m which we live, andwhat it takes these days to make a big hit at the box office.The film is set against the subculture of the music worldIn which the hub of existence is the nightclub and where life is fast and relationships tend to be fleeting.Prince plays a gifted andmoody musician named TheKid, who finds himself in arivalry with Morris Day of the group The Time over a nightclub booking and a woman Prince performs during most of the movie and there is a touch of drama contributed by veteran actor Clarence Williams III who plays his father The film is loosely based on Prince's life Prince comes off as a sensitive, introverted and lonely rebel who descends to all-out decadence once on stageViewers will be surprised and perhaps shocked when Prince performs the tune Darling Nikki, a song about a nym-phomanic. It's the coldestmaneuver in the movie.The Time performs “Jungle Love and The Bird in the movie, from a current album entitled Ice Cream Castles Apollonia 6. flashing lots of leg and lingerie, perform their new single Sex Shooter. Prince is seen on stage performing every song on his current “Purple Rain” soundtrack album except “Take Me With You and the number one hit When Doves Cry, which are played as background music. The movie begins with an electrifying performance of Let’s Go Crazy and ends with an energetic rendition of Baby I’m a Star,’*Award-winning writer William Blinn worked with Prince on the script for which Prince had been keeping notes forseveral years, reportedly in a purple notebook.
