New YW to open with Sept. 1 5activitiestThe Salina YWCA will open the doors of its new facilities at 651 E. Prescott Road, Sept. 15 with a public open house and a dramatic presentation of “The Apple Tree”.Mrs. C. Everett Brown, accompanied by .Mrs. Jack Warnock, will give 2 and 8 pm performances. Both live in Stafford:“The Apple Tree” is based on “The Diary of Adam and Eve”, by Mark Twain.Mrs. Brown’s previous Salina appearances have included “Camelot”, “My Fair Lady” and “The Man from La Mancha”.Free tickets are available at the present YWCA, 122 S. 8th, where interested persons may make reservations for nursery care for a fee. There will be a silver tea offering.
