Warren Masten Leads Uni-Versalite Class — Light j Wind and Boats Poke. iKarl Seiitz placed first with his eatboat in the Sandusky Universal race ’of the Sandusky Sailing club racing series opened Sunday at Battery park. Seitz’s time over a three-mile course was 50 1-3 minutes. Back of strong wind slowed the racing.Carl Miller, James Teasel, Boy See. heck, George Butts, Harry Darst, George Miller, Lester Mllkey and “Red” Foster followed in order after Seitz at the finishing line.In the Universalite race, Warren Masten was first, followed by Clarence Oswald, 'Wayne Braun, Harold Brown, Chico Pcre'do, Harry Vail and James Miller.Wednesday night the sailing club will hold the next, of its series of races. It will be known as the “sealed order** race and contestants will not know their course in the events until given the order just prior to start of the race.Sailors will meet at the Battery park stand and on a given signal go to their boats, make sail, leave tlie basin and follow the course, return to the basin and lay up their boats and then report to the judges in the stand.The stunt is something new here and is expected to create interest.
