committee.The committee 011 resolutions consisted of H. T. Storm, E. P. Thompson, J. C. Burgess, John Shipman and J. W. Gillaspie and reported:Resolved, That at the commencement of the next institute and at any time thereafter, at the discretion of the county superintendent, the agents for books and periodicals be allowed to make their announcements before the teachers, and that a permanent place be provided for the keeping of such publications, and that agents not be permitted at auy time to leave samples on the seats.Resolved, That we endorse the idea of township high schools and favor the providing of the same in every township in the county where it is practicable to do so.Resolved, That it is due the teacher« . *that he kuow at an early date if he is to be retained in his present position, and if he is not that the trustee shall give his reason for dismissal.Resolved, That it is for the best interests of the schools that teachers be employed at an early date.Resolved, That we appreciate the earnest efforts of our instructors during the iustitute.
