CREOLE SOCIAL CLUBAt tbe regular annual meeting of the Creole Social Cfub held yesterday the following officers were elected: Presicect, Edgar Harnev; | vice president. Arnr.our Hosier; secretary, P J Tuttle; treasurer, Alex Gomez; steward. John Burros; and Charles T Haribert w.s elected a trustee to associate during the year with Trustees Felix Andry and Edgar HarneyTbe club was organized in Oc taber, 1857. with twenty-one members. only two o? wfacm are cow living The object of the club is social intercourse and benevolence and it is stated that the club has never failed to meet its obligations in caring for the sick and burying the dead during the forty -three jeurs of its existence Surre of the most substantial creole citizens of tbe city are idee titled with the organizationThere was considerable rivalry in the election of the president and secretary, but the popularity o* the successful- candidates was too gre^t for the opposition
